Greetings from OSS Air – AgustaWestland !
We have great pleasure in introducing ourselves as the Service Providers for India of the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer, AGUSTAWESTLAND, S p A of Italy, a Member of the Finmeccanica Group.
AgustaWestland’s wide range of helicopters from the single engine 6 seater to the triple engine 30 seater combine Speed (they are by far the swiftest in each comparable category), with agility and versatility (they can be adapted within minutes from transport to search and rescue as well as evacuation modes). These features have made Agusta helicopters a natural choice for VVIP operations worldwide.
Our President and Prime Minister will soon be flying the Agusta AW-101.
The Agusta AW 119 Ke will be the first helicopter to be manufactured in the Indian Private Sector under an agreement signed between AgustaWestland and Tata Sons in New Delhi on 16th February 2010.
In the Indian Context, AgustaWestland helicopters have proven capabilities under extreme operating conditions – in Rajasthan (extreme heat and dust) and J & K (height, extreme cold and inclement weather).
In a short span of five years, we have delivered 35 AgustaWestland hi-tech Helicopters in India similar to those being used by Heads of State of several countries. Our President and Prime Minister will also soon be using AgustaWestland Helicopters.
More than 50% of twin engine helicopters that have been imported into India during this period have been AgustaWestland’s!
Sharp Ocean Sells and OSS Air Operates; Maintains; Charters and offers Consultancy to meet every customer’s Helicopter requirements in India.
Another first in India by AgustaWestland is the introduction of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS). The Helicopter which has saved more than four million lives in USA alone has been launched in India by OSS Air during the first Formula 1 event held in India from 28th to 30th October 2011 near Delhi where OSS Air were appointed the “Official Aero Medical Service provider” to the event. VT-ICU & VT-OSF were deployed during the event.
The “Golden Hour” in a medical evacuation is critical to save lives and/or minimize permanent damage.
